Effective date: July 8, 2026 ยท Last updated: July 8, 2026

RulesAI ("RulesAI," "we," "us," or "our"), an individual sole proprietor, operating a Discord bot and web portal (the "Service"). Contact: support@rulesai.app.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to two types of users: server administrators who add the bot and configure rules, and server members whose messages and activity may be processed by configured rules. This policy applies to both.

2. Information we collect

Discord account information

When you sign in through Discord OAuth, we receive your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and the list of servers you can manage. We do not receive your password.

Server and configuration data

Server, channel, and role IDs and names. We use these to ground your rules against your server's real structure.

Rule text

The plain-English rules you write, along with the compiled specifications they produce.

Message content

The bot reads messages in servers where it is installed in order to enforce your rules. See section 3.

Data produced by rules

Outputs your rules generate, such as extracted logs, recorded stats, poll tallies, contest scores, and leaderboards.

Billing information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. We retain your subscription status and Stripe customer ID.

Technical data

Log data and timestamps.

3. How we use message content

What we access

The content of messages in channels of servers where the bot is installed.

Why we access it

This is necessary to enforce the rules you configure. For example, it may detect and remove blocked words or links, extract information to a log, record stats, tally polls, or score entries. The specific processing depends on the rules you have enabled.

How it is processed

Rule enforcement runs deterministically on our servers. Raw server message content is not sent to any third-party AI provider for live enforcement. It is not used to build advertising profiles, and it is not sold.

Retention and deletion

See sections 6 and 7.

This section reflects Discord's Message Content intent, disclosed in accordance with Discord's Developer Policy.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

5. Third parties and subprocessors

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

6. Data retention

We retain data while you use the Service. Data is kept indefinitely until you request its deletion or it is no longer needed to operate the Service.

7. Your choices and deletion rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing support@rulesai.app. Administrators can delete individual rules and their stored outputs in the portal. Removing the bot from a server stops further collection of message content for that server. To request full deletion of a server's stored data, email us. You may have rights under the GDPR or CCPA, and we honor valid requests.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including access controls and regular database backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

10. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your data may be processed and stored in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
